Detailed description of the rules for conducting chess games in Chess Zombies
Beginning of the game.
1. The game begins with the Player choosing his faction and placing the pieces.
At the moment, 2 factions are available to the Players - Zombies (black) and Elves (white). In the future, the number of fractions will be increased.
After choosing a faction, the Player must choose which warriors, from the pieces he has, he wants to play the game. To do this, he needs to place his warriors in their original positions, taking into account their class and subclass.
At this stage, the player also determines in what ammunition his soldiers will fight.
2. After choosing a faction and placing pieces, the player chooses one of the game modes:
Kill the King - the game continues until one of the players cuts down the opponent's King. The winner is the player who retains his King.
Time game - players are given 20 minutes per game, each move adds 5 seconds to the game timer for the players. The game ends when one of the players runs out of time or when one of the players loses the King. The winner is the player who retains his King or the player who has time left to continue the game.
Deadmatch - the game continues until one of the players loses all the pieces. The winner is the player who has at least one piece left on the playing field.
Capture the board - the game continues until one of the players covers 80% of the playing field with the Soil (active skill of the Kings). The winner is the player who captures 80% of the board.
In all game modes, each player has 2 minutes to make a move. If no move is made after 2 minutes, the move goes to the second player.
3. By selecting the game mode, the player can start searching for an opponent.
The enemy is selected according to several criteria:
The enemy has chosen the opposite faction.
The game modes are the same.
The total strength of the opponent's pieces is greater or less than the total strength of the player's pieces by no more than 5%.
After the enemy is found, the player cannot put on his pieces the ammunition that he received before the start of the new game.
This ensures that the game balance is maintained - you cannot start the game with weak pieces and change them after the start of the game.
The exception is ammunition received by the player during the game. If during the game the player received more powerful ammunition, he will be able to put it on his pieces.
Thus, the game retains an element of chance, which can change the balance of power during the game.
